Dr.P.Pitchapillai Pandian, IAS (Retd), was in Indian Administrative Service upto 1998 and served under various Chief Ministers in Tamil Nadu and Prime Ministers in India. He had contacts with various heads of states and dignitaries throughout the world.
Presently, he is the Director of Kumbha Consotium, a group of Companies and also now principal advisor and General Power of Attorney holder of Dr.G.Krishnakumar, MD, FRCP (C), FACG, FACP, Chairman of the Group of Companies.

LITERARY CAREER : Writing from his tenth year he has contributed articles, plays. Essays etc. to all the leading journals, weeklies and dailies in his pen name Poet Bacon & Kaviyogii Bacon.b and lifeworks of his 35 literary has been published
His magnum opus is Culamani a translation of Sangam literature. In all journals.
The Government of india was pleased to sanction Rs.50 Lakhs to the publishers of the book.

He was trained in various disciplines of administration, He has textiles, spinning and sugar mills and other chemical industries has vide knowledge in agricultural, animal husbandry, horticulture, forestry, soil conservation, contour bounding and prevention of erosion and corrosion and rebuilding the depleted soil to its original stature and ensure the geo-physical texture. Serving as the chief executive in many major Industries. He has sound knowledge of security aspect.

Has occupied administrative posts, from Panchayat Union Commissioner level to the District Level as District Collector. Was Head of the Department as Director of land Reforms and Joint Commissioner – land Administration and retired as Joint Secretary.
Judicial :
Judge for Land Tribunal for 11 Districts based at Tanjore 1983-85.
Industrial :
Chief Executive Arignar Anna Sugar Mills, Thanjavur 1979 – 1983. I retrieved the Mills from its accumulated loss of 3.78 Crores and earned a net profit of Rs.3.98 Crores with an inventory for 1 Crore and share capital collection 1 Crore. Gross net earning were 10 Crores. Figured in the Industrial number 1982 as ‘Man of the Year’
